Our radio ranking enables you to sort and compare more than 2,200 radios based on their social media presence and customizable filters. This ranking showcases the performance of radio stations in terms of volume or percentage over periods ranging from 28 to 90 days. Here is the list of all the radios we track!

The best part is that you can also try out this feature with a free account, gaining access to the first 50 radios of the ranking!

How to understand the radio ranking

Each cell includes three values:

  • The first number in white represents the radio's total figures on the platform listed at the top of each column.

  • The second number indicates the evolution of the radio's performance in volume.

  • The last number measures its evolution in percentage.

According to the example above, Capital FM has more than 14.21M followers across all its social networks. In the last 28 days, it has gained more than 3.4K followers, an increase of 0.02%. Additionally, its YouTube subscribers have grown by 0.16%, amounting to 10K new subscribers.

How to sort the ranking

  1. Choose to focus on the total figures or the most significant change in volume or percentage of a radio's performance;

  2. Choose a period to study;

  3. Use any column to rank radios and organize the chart.

How to filter the chart

To refine your analysis, you can filter the radio ranking by radio's country, city, genre, track age, or performance/social presence with ranges from 5 platforms' metrics - YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X.

The overall social media presence, measured by the social reach, is the sum of followers across the station's official accounts:

Focus on the radio genres filter 🎵

Genres are defined based on the genres of the >30s spins of the past 7 days. We list the genres that account for at least 5% of plays on the station. You can select one or several genres to focus on those that interest you.

Focus on the track age filter 🧓

The Track age of a radio is determined by the release dates of the songs aired over the last 7 days. It is qualified as:

  • “frontline” if over 75% of the tracks were released less than 18 months ago;

  • “catalog” if less than 25% of the tracks were released more than 18 months ago;

  • or “mixed” if neither condition applies.

Some examples ⬇️

Focusing on American pop radio stations that mostly play recent songs (= 'frontline' catalog), we aim to identify those experiencing the highest growth over the past 90 days. Out of 220 stations, the top 3 are KIIS, KROQ, and WKQI.

Other example - we aim to identify the top rock radio stations from Paris with a mixed catalog. Among the 30 stations, the leading 3 are RFI, Franceinfo, and France Inter.
