What is an artist 'credit'?

How does it work?

Every credit allows you to access a complete data profile for one artist (you "unlock" an artist profile).

How do I get artist credits?

Your subscription may give you a certain number of credits to spend. Once you subscribe to Soundcharts, you will get an artist credit quota, renewable each month.
For instance, a Soundcharts for artists access will give you one credit to spend on any artist profile.

How can I use an artist credit?

You use an artist credit when you unlock an artist and get access to their complete data profile. You can choose to spend your credit on another artist every 28 days.

How can I use an artist credit to unlock a new artist?

If it has been more than 28 days since you've unlocked a complete data profile, you can choose to lock it and use the credit to access data on another artist.

  1. Click on your profile name at the bottom left corner of the app

  2. Click on Artist

  3. The column on the right indicates credit availability

  4. Click on the πŸ—‘οΈ next to the artist you want to remove

Do I need credits as a free user?

If you don't have a subscription to Soundcharts, you can access unlimited artist profiles. However, you can only review limited information about each section and need to upgrade to get full access to a profile.

Do I need credits as a PRO user?

No, you don't! Credits are only for the Artist plan and the 10 artists plan.
